Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove red lead from overheat thermostat

Measurement:

Measure resistance across the terminals of the overheat thermostat.
Expected resistance closed circuit, zero resistance plus resistance of test leads.
