Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Measurement:
Remove both wires from the fan motor and measure the resistance across the terminals of the fan.
Resistance should be approx as per table:
Resistance should be approx as per table:

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
