Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance

Measurement:

Remove both the purple wires from the fan and the 8 way plug from the PCB.
Measure the resistance of each purple wire.
