Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Remove Impulse Tube from Gas Valve and Boiler Chassis

Observation:

Visually inspect the tube any restrictions, blockages or damage.
Is the impulse tube satisfactory?
