Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Gain access to pump wiring connections
Disconnect wires from the pump

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure the resistance across the disconnected pump live and neutral.
Expected resistance greater than 80 Ohms for standard pumps and greater than 1MOhm for ErP pumps.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the disconnected pump live and earth.
Expected resistance greater than 1M Ohm.
Test 3:
Measure the resistance between the disconnected pump neutral and earth.
Expected resistance greater than 1M Ohm.
