CH Demand
Attach U gauge to inlet pressure test point
On/Off switch ON
On/Off switch ON
Gas On

Observation:
Allow the fan to run and the ignition sequence to commence.
During the sparking stage of the ignition cycle is a drop in the inlet pressure observed indicating the gas valve has opened?
Note:
1. When "U" gauge is removed the pressure test point should be tightened and checked for gas tightness.
2. Some boilers may be fitted with a different gas valve, the test should still be carried out on the inlet test point and the same results are expected.
