Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Disconnect the ignition lead from the spark
generator and from the ignition electrodes
Disconnect the upper earth wire from the spark generator
generator and from the ignition electrodes
Disconnect the upper earth wire from the spark generator
Measurement:
Test 1:
Measure the resistance between each end of the earth wire on the ignition lead.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the ends of the red wire on the ignition lead.
Short circuit (zero Ohms) expected on both tests.
Measure the resistance between each end of the earth wire on the ignition lead.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the ends of the red wire on the ignition lead.
Short circuit (zero Ohms) expected on both tests.
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
