Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Disconnect leads from the two gas valve solenoids
Measurement:
Test 1:
Measure the resistance across the top and bottom
spades of the main solenoid (right hand side).
Resistance should be approximately 4.3k - 5.3kΩ.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance across the two spades
of the pilot solenoid (left hand side)
Resistance should be approximately 1.5kΩ.
Note:
Gas valve may differ in appearance but tests remain the same.
Measure the resistance across the top and bottom
spades of the main solenoid (right hand side).
Resistance should be approximately 4.3k - 5.3kΩ.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance across the two spades
of the pilot solenoid (left hand side)
Resistance should be approximately 1.5kΩ.
