Set Appliance State:
On/Off Switch OFF
Set Multimeter to DC Volts 
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Gain access to PCB connections as necessary
Gain access to PCB connections as necessary

Measurement:
Appliance On/Off switch On.
Measure voltage across connection 2 (+ve probe to red lead) and connection 1 (-ve probe to black lead) on connector J11 on the control PCB.
Expected voltage approximately 9 volts DC.
Measure voltage across connection 2 (+ve probe to red lead) and connection 1 (-ve probe to black lead) on connector J11 on the control PCB.
Expected voltage approximately 9 volts DC.
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
