Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Continuity Set meter to measure Continuity
Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Disconnect spark electrode lead from the spark electrode and the spark generator

Measurement:

Inspect lead for signs of damage or any evidence of shorting and check for continuity.
