Set Appliance State:

Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4
Set Multimeter to Resistance Set meter to measure resistance
Remove pump cover / plug

Measurement:

Test 1:
Measure the resistance between pump live and neutral connections.
Resistance should be greater than 120Ω.
Resistance on ErP pumps will be significantly higher.
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between pump live and earth connections.
Resistance should be greater than 1MΩ (or O.L).
Note:
For other designs of pump please refer to instruction
manual for which connection is live / neutral / earth.
