Set Appliance State:
| Isolate Mains Power to appliance as per TOPs P4 |
Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove cover from pump assembly
Disconnect wires from pump
Disconnect wires from pump
Measurement:
Test 1:
Measure the resistance between the Live and Neutral connections at the pump.
Expect a resistance of approximately 180 - 250 ohms
on conventional pumps, high efficiency pumps
will be much higher (1Mohm or greater).
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the Live and Earth connections at the pump.
Resistance should be greater than 1M Ohm.
Measure the resistance between the Live and Neutral connections at the pump.
Expect a resistance of approximately 180 - 250 ohms
on conventional pumps, high efficiency pumps
will be much higher (1Mohm or greater).
Test 2:
Measure the resistance between the Live and Earth connections at the pump.
Resistance should be greater than 1M Ohm.
Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
