Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to Resistance 
Remove air intake tube
Remove ignition electrode
Remove ignition electrode
Measurement:
Measure the resistance across the electrode lead.
Expect continuity / zero resistance.
Also visually inspect the electrode for good general condition (i.e. no cracks in the ceramic, distortion or damaged insulation) and that the spark gap is 3.5 - 4.5mm.
Is the resistance measured as expected and the electrode and lead in good condition?

Isolate as per TOPs P4
and refit as necessary
