Mains Power ON
Check appliance gas rate with meter test dial and stopwatch.
Gas rate shall be as per appliance data plate.
Using meter test dial and stop watch measure the gas rate.
Gas rate calculation:
U6 Meter - measure time in seconds to use 1 cubic foot of gas. Heat input in kW = 1080 divided by time taken.
E6 Meter - measure time in seconds to use 10 cubic decimetres of gas. Heat input in kW = 386 divided by time taken.
Note:
The appliance must burn at full rate throughout test. If burner modulates results will be inaccurate.
