Set Appliance State:

Set Multimeter to AC Volts 
Gain access to PCB (use insulation mat as required)

Measurement:
Measure the voltage between pin 1 (brown)
and pin 2 (blue) at X3 on the PCB.
Mains voltage should be present.
Is the voltage measured as expected?
